Noosa and District Landcare - Aims and Objectives

Our aim is to promote the value, protection and rehabilitation of the Noosa Biosphere and Sunshine Coast Region, which will provide for a productive and ecologically improved environment for future residents and visitors.

Encourage the adoption of sustainable land-use and best management practices.
Assist in the preservation of water quality and waterway health in the region’s natural waterways.
Educate the community through educational programs, community workshops and traineeships.
Provide environmental activities for wider community involvement and participation.

Volunteer and help grow the place you live

Training and Education

The Community Nature Conservation Program within the Noosa Biosphere is co-ordinated by Noosa & District Landcare and supported by Sunshine Coast Council. The aim of the program is to build the capacity of the local community to maintain and care for our bushland reserves.
